FAQs

What’s the concept behind CORRelations?

CORRelations is a subscription e-newsletter designed for busy, practicing orthopaedic surgeons. It delivers unbiased, ad-free, actionable information to help you improve the care you deliver and run a more efficient practice. CORRelations derives its subspecialty-focused, efficiency-related, and business insights from the best-available evidence, inside-the-beltway economic intel, and innovations from practices across the country. CORRelations comes to your inbox most weekdays, but we know you’re busy, so our posts can be read on the go in just about a minute each. For the private practicing, “privademic,” or efficiency-minded academic orthopaedic surgeon, CORRelations delivers everything you need and nothing you don’t.

Clinical Orthopaedics and Related Research (CORR) and CORRelations are separate publications. Both are published by the Association of Bone and Joint Surgeons (ABJS).

Can I try it for free?

Yes. When you subscribe, you get a free 30-day trial to all of CORRelations’ features. You can cancel any time (though we don’t think you’ll want to). We also offer a free subscription tier, but that’s really just a taste of a few articles or article previews — most of the good stuff goes to our paying subscribers.

How do I subscribe to CORRelations?

Just click on the “Subscribe” button, found on most pages and articles.

What’s it cost?

A full subscription, including all of our features — “Need to Know“ (our clinical section), “Practical Economics,” “Chart of the Week,” and “The Efficient Practice” — costs $20/month or $240/year. That’s about a buck a post, and the cost may be tax deductible as a business expense.

What does the clinical section cover?

The “Need to Know” section covers the most-common topical areas in private practice:

  • Fractures/Trauma
  • Arthroscopy/Sports
  • Joint Replacement
  • Spine
  • Hand
  • Foot & Ankle

“Need to Know” posts come out once a week in each topical area, unless there is a crucial general-interest topic that applies to all (or several) subspecialties, in which case that post would go to all.

I do some scopes, some joints, and I take call. What topical area do I choose?

You can choose as many subspecialty topics as you like. The subscription price covers as many as you want to receive, no upcharges, and you can modify your choices at any time.

Can I change my plan?

Yes. Just go to your “Account” page and you’ll see a link to change your plan.

I hate marketing emails. If I subscribe, will I get slammed?

We dislike marketing emails, too. We’ve designed CORRelations to meet users’ needs and eliminate their sources of pain (like practice inefficiencies, but also marketing emails). Full subscribers will only hear from us with the posts they sign up for, which come out most weekdays, and when we roll out new features or sections. People on the free subscriptions will get periodic reminders about what they’re missing by not subscribing.

Can I stop receiving emails but keep my subscription?

Yes. Just go to your account and deactivate the “Email Newsletter” option. We wouldn’t recommend this, because you might miss a lot.

What about my privacy?

We do not share your information with anyone, and we keep it protected. No spam, no bots, no ads. We deliver only the information you need to get you through another day in the office or operating room.  You can read our full privacy policy here.

Do you sell group subscriptions?

Group discounts are available. Contact us any time at info@correlations-now.org.

I like the “Efficient Practice” section, and my practice has an idea to share. Is CORRelations interested in hearing about it?

Absolutely. Send a note to us at info@correlations-now.org with “Efficient Practice idea” in the subject line. You’ll hear from us promptly.

I think you missed the mark with one of your posts. Where is the “Comment” button?

Currently, commenting is not enabled on this site, but we welcome feedback of any kind by email: info@correlations-now.org.

I think I lost my password. Now what?

There are no passwords. To log in, enter your email address, and the system emails you a link. Let us know if you run into any problems: info@correlations-now.org.

How do I update my credit card?

Go to your Account page via a link you’ll see on most pages once you’re logged in. If you run into any trouble, email us at info@correlations-now.org.

What if I want to unsubscribe?

We don’t think you will. But if you do, you can do it via your “Account” settings.
